ABOUT THE AUTHOR Ellie Sawatzky is a Pushcart-nominated fiction writer and poet from Northwestern Ontario, currently based in Vancouver. Her work has appeared in Room, The Puritan, The Matador Review, untethered, Prairie Fire, and elsewhere. In 2017, she won 1st place in CV2’s Young Buck Poetry Prize, and was awarded runner-up in both the Thomas Morton Memorial Prize and Room’s Poetry Contest. Her poetry chapbook, Rhinocerotic, will be released in Spring 2018 (Frog Hollow Press).
